Apple Picking Day
Slowly but surely, everything on my Fall festivities to-do list is being checked off. A big must on that list was apple-picking in the beautiful east coast country side. Yesterday a group of friends and I went upstate to a farm full of autumn goodness. Luscious apples, a pumpkin patch, hayrides, apple cider, delicious pies, and basically everything else that makes this time of year so magical. We walked the fields in search of the most perfect apples, finding picking them straight off the ground to be the best method. One of my favorite things about the trip was simply having some time away from the city. Sometimes driving in a car with friends, blasting tunes down the highway is exactly what you need.

Lately
Lately I have been....
1.) Cuddling with this little princess non-stop.
2.) Decorating our apartment and transforming it into a winter wonderland
3.) Re-vamping my room with a picture frame collage.
4.) Checking out the What Goes Around Comes Around pop-up shop at Astor Place.
5.) Taking long wintery walks downtown.
6.) Cleaning my room over and over again. Somehow it is never clean.
7.) Being a bad flower-keeper and letting them die way too quickly. They are just as pretty this way though.
Hope you had a lovely week as well!

What i did..
Finally a bit settled from the move, and lately I have been.....
1.) Lounging around our East Village apartment, never wanting to leave really because it's been so cold!
2.) Indulging in the most delicious blueberry pancakes.
3.) Decorating my new room, slowly but surely.
4.) Taking in the beauty of the blanket of snow over the beautiful city.
5.) Being silly with my Eza and jumping in the street.
6.) Spending mornings shooting in the beautiful AM light.
7.) Being all cozy in my new bed. Finally I have a full-sized one!
8.) Playing with this lil cutie and watching her adjust to the new apartment.
9.) Hanging around the new neighborhood with friends, like the lovely Anthony.

NYC adventures
One of my bestest friends in the entire world, Laura came to visit me the past few days and I cannot tell you how lovely it has been having her here in the city. I lived with this gal basically all of college, and she is one of my most favorite humans on earth. So of course when she came to visit NYC, I had to take her to all my favorite spots, including L'aduree, Central Park, SoHo, the farmers market, Mudspot cafe, vintage shops galore, and simply the streets of the East Village. It's so special having her here and I have treasured every single moment so far. I am beyond thankful to have this lady in my life so I just had to share with you all the adventures she and I had this past weekend!

SXSW Photo diary
A quick photo diary from my adventures at SXSW in Austin. I was constantly surrounded by tex-mex, rockin bands, and babes galore (old friends and new). A big thanks again to Samsung and Fohr Card for sending me out. I will forever remember this trip!

Lately... Saturday Edition
A new Saturday edition of my 'Lately' posts! It's been quite a long time since I have done one, but I plan to get back to it again regularly. Expect these posts once a week. Here is how I spent my Saturday in the city...
1.) Admiring the beautiful flowers at Deane & Deluca in SoHo. One of my favorite grocery stores of all time.
2.) Indulging in delicious burgers at Smiths in the East Village. Love this place so much!
3.) Vintage shopping at Metropolitan. They definitely have you covered in the cut-offs department.
4.) Wandering around NoLita, people watching is great there.
5.) Drinking more coffee than I probably should.
6.) Enjoying strawberry cupcakes from Little Bake Shop in NoLita, one of my absolute favorites!
7.) Running in the rain, because of course I always forget to bring an umbrella.
Anyway, hope you all had a lovely weekend as well!
